even though it is packing about 100 more pounds.
The Raptors R engine is one whole quart smaller in displacement than that in the Ram TRX, allowing Fords truck to run significantly lighter.
Ford is quick to note that a V8-equipped version of the F-150 Raptor
is expected to only weigh around 100 pounds more than the V6 Raptor with a 37-tire package,
which is already considerably lighter than the trucks primary competition.
Ford is making the 37-inch tires standard (they are optional on the Ram TRX),
so the upcoming Raptor will still be incredibly capable in rugged conditions, but do not go expecting sweeping changes for more suspension ability.
